Definition of proj·ect / noun – “an individual or collaborative enterprise that is carefully planned and designed to achieve a particular aim.”
From simple to extreme, short term to long term, I view almost everything a project. Taking care of kids? Making dinner? Cleaning the house? DIY Home Decor? Crafting? Caring for a pet? Project. Relocating or renovating? BIG project.
Each task or responsibility involves some kind of brainstorming or planning, sometimes creating or building. I am a DIYer who loves to plan and take on new tasks, especially if it improves the quality of life or brings joy to those around me.

Originally from Iowa, (Go Hawkeyes!) our family of 4…er, 6? (2 daughters + 2 dogs) are currently settled in Kansas back in Iowa!
Historically, we have relocated every few years for my husband’s career. (BIG, repetitive project!) I’m thankful I can live just about anywhere in the world so long as I have good internet and a UPS or FedEx nearby; these are the two things I need most to maintain my blog and my business, Candyland Studio. (More projects!)
I love crafting and creating so much that I made it my career; Nothing makes me happier than getting a note from a customer or a reader telling me how much they loved their project, how useful it is, or how I’ve helped them in one way or another.
When you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life. #truth
I’ve found the best way to bring joy into my life is to have an abundance mindset; to love deeply, give generously, and spread kindness far and wide whenever I can. This is why I share my adventures with you, along with my growing library of free resources.

Because let’s be honest…not all projects are a walk in the park…ing lot of Hobby Lobby. They may begin that way, but it can be a bumpy road from start to finish! I can help. 😉
