I love me some upcycled baby food jar crafts! Last year everyone got lighted Christmas Trees from Big Girl’s leftover jars and now that Little Baby is going to be trying baby food soon I will have a big pile of them again. They will go next to the big pile I still have from Big Girl. 🙂 I just can’t bring myself to recycle them just yet, you never know when you might happen upon a new craft idea, which is what happened the other day!
Here’s a really simple and cute idea for those leftover jars:
Super easy to make. Simply spray paint your lids and add the face with construction paper, paint or vinyl. (If you have a cutting machine like a Cricuit or Silhouette this would be a quick and easy project. I didn’t save my SVG files, but I found one that would work well here.) Then fill with an orange colored treat – goldfish, M&Ms, candy corn, etc. Or, add a strip of orange paper (as shown on the right) and fill with any colored treat.
Since I’m mildly obsessed with Jack Skellington of course I had to make one for him too but the white spray paint I have is not working well on the lid. =( I need to keep working on that.
These would be great party favors or for your favorite trick-or-treaters. Or, you can fill them with other non-edible things and set them around the house. Fun!
