Here’s more proof that I do more than spend endless hours surfing the internet. Not that I DON’T spend countless hours online…daily…but every now and then I actually DO something with what I’ve learned online. đ
For example, I found instructions for this awesome project on A Day in the Life of Miss Kranz via Pinterest and thought it would make a really cool gift so I convinced Handy Andy to help me make one for us to try it out first.
Cute AND functional, no? I love it. Plus it’s a good size for Little Miss to use. I made one for a special someone for Christmas another for our bathroom; it will save my poor knees when giving Kayden a bath and I figure she can use it as a step stool to wash her hands and brush her teeth when she’s a little older. â„
I won’t rehash the instructions (you can see those on the blog I mentioned) but I will give you some tips on what worked for me:
- Use SMALL staples in your staple gun – It really boosted my self-esteem when we got smaller staples as I could not for the life of me use the staple gun on my own with the longer staples. đ I had to enlist my muscle man but was quite happy when I found a way to do it myself!
- Save some $ on the filling – For our first one I used a stack of scrap fleece material and it worked out really well! For the subsequent seats I got a foam Matress Pad at Wal-Mart for like $15, which is similar to the material you can get at a fabric store but A LOT less expensive!
What do you think?
P.S. Leave a comment if you would like an invitation to join Pinterest, I hear it takes weeks if you request to join without an existing member!

That’s an ingenious way of thinking about it.
