Have you made a money holder card yet??
I started seeing these pop up in different Facebook groups around graduation time and I knew I had to make one. Or twenty.
Now you can make a bunch, too!
When it comes to gift giving I always have the best of intentions for an amazing, super memorable, greatly appreciated, AWESOME gift. And, because I’m a professional maker naturally I assume people expect an extraordinary handmade something-or-other.
But I over analyze and second guess Every. Little. Thing. Until I talk myself out of the handmade gift.
That’s when I remind myself that the ONE thing everyone loves and appreciates is simple: Cash. However, slipping some bills in a card is not very fun; I’m always on the lookout for a fun way to give money…currently on the top of my list: Money holder cards!
They are fairly easy to make, but if you are interested, I’m sharing this “Woodland Friends” design I made recently for a baby shower gift.
Supplies Needed for Money Holder Cards
- Cardstock
- Design (You can download my free file from the Resource Library and personalize to your needs.)
- Printer (or if you’re artsy you can draw one by hand!)
- Scissors or Cutting Machine – If you have a Cricut, Silhouette you should be able to do a print & cut?? (Please don’t ask me for help with that though…I don’t have either of those machines!)
- Plastic blister pouch with adhesive (these are so much better than the one I found last minute to use in my example!)
- Bone Folder (optional)
Also, once you have my cut file you can design TONS of different cards. Just think of all the occasions you could give money holder cards – holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, baby shower, teacher appreciation, or just because! I will definitely work on more designs because this is my new go to for gift giving.
I hope you enjoy, and please share if you make any!
